Christmas Program

In December the PHSA conducts its annual Christmas Program that provides food, toys, and new gifts for its member families. This is truly a community project, and depends on the generosity of our schools, churches, scouts and service organizations to raise money, donate gifts, and to collect food for the program.

PHSA purchases canned goods, bread, apples and potatoes and provides each family with a certificate to purchase a meat item. The Turner Dairy generously donates milk, eggs and orange juice. The number of persons in each family determines the quantity of food and the value of the certificate. Each mother and child receive a new and appropriate gift. In addition, families may select slightly used items from the tables; these items include such things as stuffed animals, games, and toys.
