DISTRIBUTION OF CLOTHING BY APPOINTMENT
Penn hills residents donate clothing and household items. Volunteers sort, size and stock the items. PHSA invites member families to come twice a year by appointment, to select clothing for each season. Depending on the available supply, each person may select jackets, sweaters, slacks, skirts, dresses, shirts, underwear, socks and shoes.If shortages occur, PHSA purchases certain items, such as underwear and socks (for school age children) and towels.
Clothing volunteers work on Wednesdays, serving ten to twelve families, numbering 40 to 50 persons.
Clean usable clothing, household goods, and items for Christmas
are accepted on Thursday, 8:00 am to 12 noon at 2519 Main Street,
Universal, at the side loading dock.
